The Sacred Path

Have you ever taken a pilgrimage? Have you ever walked a sacred path?

There are destinations around the world where you can walk with other people towards a peaceful place of existence. Some are well known, some not so well known. Some you may find close to home, others you may have to travel to.

All of these pilgrimages and sacred paths will eventually lead you to the same place, back home to where you started. Back home in the comfort of your own home and walking the paths in your neighborhood and community.

These paths are also sacred. They are the paths you share every day with your neighbors as you live side by side. They are the paths where you will meet up and share your stories, hopes and dreams. They are the paths where children will play and community members will exercise. They are the paths where community is made.

So, whether you were lucky enough to walk a sacred path on a special pilgrimage, or just find yourself walking the local paths in your community, know that they are one in the same. They are both meant to bring people together to share their lives and reach a higher state of peace.
