The Sky Above

Birds have a way of making us look up. We look up as they fly above and connect to them and the sky that they fly through.

The magical flight that they participate in is always awe inspiring. So much so that we have mimicked it in our modern lives with airplanes, hot air balloons, helicopters and anything else that can get us into the air.

Why such an obsession to be airborne? Why such an obsession to fly? Well, when we fly or see something in flight we are closer to the sky than when we are not. And when we look up we see possibilities. We see a vastness of the sky and the outer part of the Earth and it is, well, just another world.

It’s a world where we can connect to our dreams and our aspirations. It’s a world where we can soar.

The next time your attention is brought upwards towards the skies as something in flight catches your eye, focus on what you are thinking. You may just be thinking of the next big idea in your head or the to-do list that hasn’t gotten done, or that friend that you needed to get in touch with. Whatever comes to your mind will be brought to you by raising your attention upwards and outwards to the sky above.
